As we gather for this healing circle, we will bring two and a half hours of complete relaxation through: Restorative Yoga, Acupuncture, Yoga Nidra & Reiki Healings
Healing our energies isn’t about magically making things appear or disappear from our lives. It is about owning the responsibility to allow self to release all that is no longer working and all that has been holding us back. Doing so creates a sacred space within as well as in our environment to move towards manifesting our deepest intentions and finding the true essence of our whole beautiful being. It is taking a responsible yet a soulful journey within to make our outer path more enjoyable and worthwhile. It is to be aware, and to awaken the magic we all hold within ourselves.
Restorative Yoga is a delicious way to unwind and release with the help of props like bolsters, blankets, straps and blocks. It is a powerful way to work on muscles and stretching as well. This yogic offering includes relaxing the breath, mind and body and are designed to offer the benefits of deep relaxation, and deliver a powerful calming effect on the nervous system.
Acupuncture is the insertion of hair like needles into what Traditional Chinese Medicine refers to as channels and meridians that run throughout the body. While acupuncture is known to relieve pain by activating points along these channels, it also excels at supporting the emotional and mental body. Integrating acupuncture into one’s lifestyle is one of the best ways to manage stress, relax and help the body to remain in a more balanced state. Because acupuncture supports the entire body, most patients will also find improvement in their sleep, digestion, energy levels and immunity through treatments.
Yoga Nidra or Yogic sleep is an ancient mindfulness practice, where we move into a state of consciousness between waking & sleeping. It is a form of pratyahara- the turning inward of awareness. It is known to be among the deepest possible states of relaxation while still maintaining full consciousness. Yoga Nidra is a powerful way to access & release stress, experience deep rest & rejuvenation for the body, mind and energies, and create new healthy habits in one’s life through Sankalp (intentions). COVID-19 Precautions
What Patients Can Expect
WellEssence, LLC has made some changes to our appointment and visit process to enhance the comfort and safety of patients and staff during the novel coronavirus outbreak. Please read carefully prior to your appointment and alert me, Kelly Drury, L.Ac, to any questions or concerns:
~ 24 hours before your appointment you will be contacted via e-mail with a COVID-19 Pre-Screening survey about your recent travel history as well as any flu-like symptoms you or any members of your household have experienced in the past 14 days. This COVID-19 Pre-Screening survey will need to be completed prior to each of your visits.
~ Prior to entering the office, all patients must remain in their cars or outside of the building until notified via text to enter.
~ Patients and staff must wear a facemask (cloth is fine) upon arrival to be able to enter the building and throughout the entire duration of their visit. They must also practice social distancing until closer contact is required to carry out the purpose of the visit/treatment.
~ Due to the size of the office space, friends and family should not accompany patients to visits unless it is absolutely necessary. This is to reinforce the practice of social distancing. Please notify me if you have any questions about this.
~ Unless an in-person visit is necessary, I will continue to provide services via telehealth for herbal and nutritional consultations as well as for general counseling. All new patient initial appointments may be split into two appointments: an Initial Virtual Consultation and an Initial Acupuncture Treatment to reduce the amount of time required in the office. The Initial Virtual Consultation should be scheduled prior to the Initial Acupuncture Treatment appointment, so that intake, patient concerns, goals and treatment plans can be discussed.
~ Keeping you and our community healthy is my top priority. To further minimize exposure risk, I will be limiting the time I am in the treatment room with you during your treatment. I will be staggering patient appointments with thirty minute intervals to allow for additional cleaning, disinfection and ventilation time in the treatment rooms. I will also be reducing my work hours to restrict daily patient traffic. I will keep windows open when possible, provide hand sanitizer, and use contactless payment procedures. As always, any linens used are changed between EVERY patient, sealed in a bag in a closed hamper and laundered after every use.
Although I am taking many steps to reduce potential exposure to COVID-19, it is important that you know that any in-person interaction, including at a medical/acupuncture office, may increase potential exposure to COVID-19.
Based on currently available information and clinical expertise, older adults (65 and older) and people of any age who have serious underlying medical conditions might be at higher risk for severe illness from COVID-19. If you or a member of your household is at higher risk, you may wish to postpone some routine and/or elective medical care. Please discuss with your doctor if you have any questions or concerns.
I look forward to seeing you!
